How It Works?
We leverage industry leading projections from multiple sources and industry leading tools to identify not just players but strategies on how to play specific players to create unique leverage against our competition. Playing DFS has evolved from knowing who the best players are to how to play the best players and what players not to play if you are trying to win 1st place. In order to achieve a first place finish, we need build a lineup that can achieve a top .01% outcome. There are a number of ways to do this that the casual fan simply doesn’t understand and that’s where we come in.
Two Biggest Lessons Learned…
The single most important thing I’ve learned in the last 3 years of REALLY trying to get better at DFS is that there is no crystal ball. However, there is a very specific set of criteria that top 1% of lineups have in common. Our focus should be on building fundamentally sound lineups each and every week and each week presents its own unique set of variables to navigate. The second lesson I learned is that unless you’re using specialized DFS subscription services, invest in tools like optimizers and simulators, or you’re a computer science whiz with nothing better to do you’re at a SIGNIFICANT DISADVANTAGE!
What We’ve Learned…
Extensive contest analysis of DraftKings flagship PGA contest with normal $20 buy in and $200k to first place shows that 95% of unique players are entering less than 10 lineups where the maximum lineup allotment is 150 lineups. These players account for 50% of all contest entries, usually between 40,000 and up to 100,000 depending on the PGA event.
Less than 1% of unique players are entering between 50 and 150 lineups. However, these players make up nearly 33% of total entries
What does this mean?
- Less than 1% of unique players are accounting for 33% of total contest entries likely players who use tools, services, and/or have a large bankroll.
- 75% of unique players, are accounting for 50% of total contest entries likely casual players entering a small number of lineups hoping to hit the jackpot.
- All competing for a limited number of spots in the top 1% each week.
Hypothesis
The casual player doesn’t have 1) time for 2) the ability to do, their own research, yet flood tournaments weekly hoping for a large payout and make up approximately 50% of contest entries and 75% of the entire player field.
